The Gaffey High Density Stacker Crane System has been designed to meet
small to medium parts storage needs at a moderate cost. It is an economical
alternative to conventional fork trucks. Because the stacker crane is a
dedicated lifting and handling device, it frees up much needed and costly floor
space for more production storage, or aisle space.
Your employees will have immediate access to parts instead of having to wait on
a fork truck to become available, thus enabling your workers to be more
productive. Ideal storage applications for the stacker crane systems include:
dies, motors, pumps, molds, tooling, small packages, and many other areas
including maintenance shops, work-in-progress, and small warehouses.
The system is easily installed and can be expanded with only having to add new
rack and crane rail. So as your needs grow, your system can grow as well. Built
for easy manual movement in all directions, the system can be completely
motorized, as well as automated in special applications. System capacities vary
from 1/4 ton to 2 tons as standard. Lifting is satisfied by a built in electric
hoist.
Each stacker crane is manufactured with safety as the foremost consideration. An
elevator-type free-fall safety device is enabled in the event of slack in the
chain. A rack mounted above the head, as well as the screen-guarding on the
front of the stacker ensures the operator from being struck by falling
parts.
