| LodeRail enclosed track cranes and jibs were developed to provide a
lightweight ergonomic alternative to beam and rail cranes. The roll-formed
enclosed steel track is designed to provide very low rolling force. Your load
can be manually moved with a 100:1 productivity ratio. For example, an operator
can start moving a 500-pound load with 5 pounds of force. Ease of movement, all
steel construction, capacities to 2-tons and bolt-together design, provides a
quality crane system at an affordable price.
A Seismic Zone 4 earthquake standard must be complied with for crane
installations in some areas of the United States. LodeRail
freestanding cranes,
with unique miter joints at the support assembly connections and other design
features, provide a crane system that is robust enough to meet the stringent
requirements of the Uniform Building Code, Seismic Zone 4. The LodeRail design
provides an additional advantage, no required sway or “X” bracing to the
building steel on standard systems. This feature reduce the installation time
and cost that is common with other systems. LodeRail
ceiling suspended
cranes and
monorail do
require bracing in most cases. They are designed to the same engineering
standards as our freestanding systems.
LodeRail is sold through Columbus McKinnon Corporation distribution
(CM, Coffing, Budgit and Yale/Lift-Tech). LodeRail distributors can provide
hoists, below-the-hook tools, site surveys, and installation of LodeRail
enclosed track systems.
